This project was a large part of the locally organized Woodman of the World Senior Camp. Organizations such as Woodman of the World, supports families in many ways, including insurance protection with fraternal benefits, by sponsoring family and youth activities at the local level, and now by helping shelters and provide for pets. John S. Manna, National Fraternal Activities Manager and Assistant Vice President for Woodman of the World said it best when he stated that,"because animals can't speak for themslves, many times they are the ones that need our help the most". Membership Coordinator, Ashley Woods states, " It can be very difficult operating as a non-profit organization. The Humane Society receives it's funding from adoptions, donations, and memberships only. We receive no funding from any other source. With the help of gracious individuals within our community, we are able to provide these animals that are in need with the best possible care. Every little bit helps and it is certainly appreciated". www.woodmen.org |
